What to Expect

When you come for your appointment

For appointments during business hours, you can park at Belgrade Holdings using the visitor bays, or utilise the six parking spaces located behind the building on the left side upon entering.

In the event that you arrive outside of business hours, please note that the gates may be closed. However, rest assured that we will be anticipating your arrival and will promptly open the gates for you. Upon arrival, a dedicated staff member, such as your osteopath or trainer, will meet you at the reception area and provide access to our facilities.

What to expect from treatment

Upon entering your treatment room at The Somatic Clinic, your massage or osteopath will ask you to explain the reason for your visit. They will then follow up with a series of questions to ensure clarity and may provide additional information as needed. During your initial appointment, the therapist will also review your family and medical history to ensure a thorough comprehensive understanding.

Next, the therapist will request you to remove certain clothing items for better assessment and treatment. They will respect your privacy and offer the option to have them leave the room while you change (consent required).

Once you’re ready, the osteopath will conduct examinations and orthopaedic tests, which may involve specific movements and hands-on assessments to identify tight muscles or sore joints (consent required).

Following these assessments, the osteopath will provide up to three diagnoses, ranging from the most likely to the most serious. Based on your case, the therapist will select the most suitable diagnosis and proceed with the corresponding treatment.

The frequency of future appointments will depend on your level of discomfort, typically ranging from three days to two weeks. We prioritise patient autonomy and offer the flexibility for you to book subsequent appointments at the clinic or on your own terms at home.

After treatment, it’s normal to experience some soreness for up to 48 hours. Our expert osteopath will reach out to you (via text or call) to check on your post-treatment condition. If your symptoms worsen, we will either invite you back to the clinic for further assistance or refer you to a GP at no additional cost. Your well-being and satisfaction are our top priorities.

What to expect from personal training

Upon arrival at the clinic, your trainer will warmly greet you at reception and accompany you to the gym area. You can place your valuables on the provided table, rest assured that they will be safe with us. Only authorised personnel have access to the clinic, ensuring your security and privacy.

During your training session, you may have the gym to yourself, or share the space with another trainer and their client. Our spacious floor area comfortably accommodates up to three trainers simultaneously, and they will adapt your exercise regimen accordingly.

At The Somatic Clinic, we foster a positive and uplifting atmosphere. It is common to engage in friendly conversations between clients and trainers, as our team members possess expertise in nutrition and rehabilitation as well. Feel free to join in and enjoy some laughter while achieving your fitness goals.

Once your session concludes, the trainer will assist in booking your next appointment at the earliest convenience for you. This ensures consistent training and maximises the effectiveness of your results.

What to expect from nutrition

Upon your arrival at the clinic, your nutritionist will greet you at the reception area. After introductions, they will guide you to the therapy/consultation room, where your session will take place.

To ensure a personalised approach, the nutritionist will inquire about any underlying systemic diseases or health conditions that they should be aware of. Gathering this essential information, they will proceed to ask you a series of questions aimed at gaining a comprehensive understanding of your lifestyle, eating habits, preferences, and dislikes.

By carefully analysing these aspects, the nutritionist aims to create a tailored plan that suits your specific needs and goals. Your nutritionist is dedicated to helping you make positive changes and achieve optimal well-being through expert guidance and support.
